What this result means

Format evidence, not ownership proof

A correct check digit only shows that a number is structurally consistent. This tool cannot confirm who owns a barcode, whether it was assigned to a specific item, or whether Google will approve a product.

Need the full catalog worklist?

FeedSnapshot AI scans Shopify product and variant data read-only, finds repeated identifier and feed-readiness issues, and exports prioritized fixes without editing the store.

GTIN validator questions

Does a passing result prove that the GTIN belongs to my product?

No. This tool validates structure, check digits, Google prefix restrictions, and duplicate use in the pasted batch. Confirm assignment against product packaging, manufacturer records, or GS1.

Which GTIN lengths does the validator support?

It checks GTIN-8, GTIN-12, GTIN-13, and GTIN-14 values. Spaces and standard dashes are ignored during normalization.

Should I put my Shopify SKU in the Barcode field?

Only when that SKU is also the legitimate GTIN assigned to the product, which is uncommon. A merchant-created SKU is not automatically a GTIN.

What if a handmade or custom product has no GTIN?

Do not invent one. Confirm that no manufacturer-assigned identifier exists, then follow the current destination rules for products without a GTIN.
